Get Them to See the True Picture

Election is just round the corner. Within this short span of time, Pakatan must get into the grassroot level in desa and kampong. Just go and tell them the national debts, the orang kaya among the ruling class, and how much MONEY is lost to individuals.

Next share with them the various achievement of Pakatan in the Pakatan held states.
Visualise with them what Pakatan can do and will do if only ALL RAKYAT wanted the revenue of the nation to return and share among the rakyat, so that the billions thus saved can lighten up the burden of ALL.

Pakatan must get the votes of this grassroots level, they are simple people and not expose to the truth in the internet.

Some efforts must be made to get the Sarawak and Sabah voters to understand what had happened in the peninsular for the past 54 years. Now is the time to check the rotting away of the nation by getting Pakatan into power. Plead with them that Pakatan needs the partnership of serious political parties from Sarawak and Sabah. Pakatan rejects opportunists. Pakatan wanted people who are in to save Malaysia and to cerat a better place for our future generation. People who will build up the national reserves and willing to live on their pay and allowances as a YB and an MP. Not fattening themselves with public fund.

In order to get into Putrajaya, Sarawak and Sabah's support is vital.
In order to get more states into Pakatan's hand, the grassroot level need to be told of the truth and visualise the prospect of a Pakatan government.

God bless Malaysia.

If PR win, it is RAKYAT's winning Game

I read an article from a blog saying:
“Malays will lose their rights and power should Pakatan Rakyat (PR) win more federal seats in the next general election, an Umno leader said today.”
This is merely a misleading statement. It is also a racist statement. It is NOT a Malaysian statement.

I would rather said, if PR win this election and seated in Putrajaya, UMNO’s dream of “jadi kaya kerana politik habislah!!” If PR win this round and be placed in Putrajaya, Rakyat menang, rakyat SEMUA kaum dan masyarakat.

The article quoted Datuk Ahmad Maslan as this:
“The Malay language will be lost, say goodbye to the Malay Sultans, the opposition DAP do not even respect the royal institution ... they have never accepted royal titles even though they have been offered them,” he said here.”

How could it be…a great lie and bad assumption. Bahasa Melayu will still be the National language. Our Monarchy Democracy will still be existing. PR will not play around with the honoured Constitution like BN. PR gives high respect and honour to our Constitution.

The article even quotes as saying:
“Say goodbye to Islam, because they (DAP) are agents of Christianisation ... in talking about the Malay agenda we cannot run away from this,” said Ahmad.”

BN members must be thinking that PR will not respect the Constitution like BN. No way. Islam will still be the official religion of Malaysia. Other religious groups will be respected as stated in the Constitution.

Imagine this: UMNO said, “ say goodbye to Islam.” MCA said, “ PAS will declare Hudud Law in Malaysia.” UMNO tried to scare the Malay community, MCA tried to scare the Chinese community. Now which is which? Who is right? As far as PR is concern, abide by the Constitution. No changed.

The article is trying to say, Malay will lose power….. not true. UMNO will lose power, true and correct. Rakyat will get the power and benefits of national prosperity, but UMNOputra will be the losers. Always remember, it is NOT a racial strife, it is the strife of Rakyat Malaysia to save Malaysia from being bankrupt due to …..no secret to all.

So please do not be taken in by the lies and misleading statement of any politicians, but vote with your simple common sense as a Rakyat Malaysia.

Malaysia Should Have Made It Too,but...

BY *AHMAD MUSTAPHA
*The writer is a nephew of Dr Mahathir.

Singapore's Minister Mentor, Lee Kuan Yew, who was Singapore 's founding father, has always been very direct in his comments. This was the man who outsmarted the communists in Singapore (with the innocent help of Malaya then and the willing help of the British) and who later outwitted the British and outpaced Malaysia in all spheres. Singapore practices corrupt-free meritocracy and Malaysia affirmative action. The former attracted all the best brains and the latter chased out all the brains. The Singapore cabinet consists of dedicated and intelligent technocrats whereas Malaysia has one of the most unwieldy cabinets. Not only that, brain wise it was below par not even good for the kampong. With that kind of composition, one that is very brainy, naturally Singapore , with no natural resources could outstrip Malaysia in every aspect of development.

Malaysia , on the other hand, was too much preoccupied with its Malayness and the illusory 'Ketuanan Melayu' and was also more interested in useless mega iconic development rather than real social and economic development. Whenever Kuan Yew utters anything that deemed to be a slight on Malaysia , voices were raised admonishing him. Malaysia would never dare to face reality. That Singapore had shown that it could survive was a slap on those who believed that Singapore would fold up once it left Malaysia . Therefore it was natural that these doomsayers would try to rationalise their utterances to be in their favour to combat on whatever Kuan Yew commented. Its political jealousy.

Singapore achieved its development status without any fanfare. But here in Malaysia , a development that was deceptive was proclaimed as having achieved development status. It was trumpeted as an achievement that befits first world status. This was self delusion. Malaysians are led to believe into a make believe world, a dream world. The leaders who themselves tend to believe in their own fabricated world did not realise the people were not taken in by this kind of illusion.

Lee Kuan Yew believed in calling a spade a spade. I was there in Singapore when the People's Action Party won the elections in 1959. He was forthright in his briefing to party members as to what was expected of them and what Singapore would face in the future. Ideologically, I did not agree with him. We in the University of Malaya Socialist Club had a different interpretation of socialist reconstruction. But he was a pragmatist and wanted to bring development and welfare to the Singaporeans. Well! He succeeded.

Malaysia was so much embroiled in racial politics and due to the fear of losing political power, all actions taken by the main party in power was never targeted towards bringing wealth to all. Wealth was distributed to the chosen few only. They were the cronies and the backers of the party leadership to perpetuate their own selfish ends. Seeing the efficiency and the progress achieved by Singapore caused the Malaysian leadership to suffer from an inferiority complex. That Malaysia should suffer from this complex was of its own making. In a recent interview, Kuan Yew said that Malaysia could have done better if only it treated its minority Chinese and Indian population fairly. Instead they were completely marginalised and many of the best brains left the country in drove. He added that Singapore was a standing indictment to what Malaysia could have done differently. He just hit the nail right there on the head.

Malaysia recently celebrated its 50th year of independence with a bagful of uncertainties. The racial divide has become more acute. The number of Malay graduates unemployed is on the increase. And this aspect can be very explosive. But sad to see that no positive actions have been taken to address these social ills. Various excuses were given by Malaysian leaders why Singapore had far outstripped Malaysia in all aspects of social and economic advancement. Singapore was small, they rationalised and therefore easy to manage. Singapore was not a state but merely an island.

There was one other aspect that Malaysia practises and that is to politicise all aspects of life. All government organs and machinery were 'UMNO-ised'. This was to ensure that the party will remain in power. Thus there was this misconception by the instruments of government as to what national interest is and what UMNO vested interest is. UMNO vested interest only benefited a few and not the whole nation. But due to the UMNO-isation of the various instruments of government, the country under the present administration had equated UMNO vested interest as being that of national interest. Thus development became an avenue of making money and not for the benefit of the people. The fight against corruption took a back seat. Transparency was put on hold. And the instruments of government took it to be of national interest to cater to the vested interest of UMNO. Enforcement of various enactments and laws was selective. Thus a 'palace' in Kelang, APs cronies and close-one-eye umno MPs could exist without proper procedure. Corruption infested all govt departments, the worse is the police and lately even in the judiciary.

Singapore did not politicise its instruments of government. If ever politicisation took place, it is guided by national interest. To be efficient and to be the best in the region was of paramount importance. Thus all the elements like corruption, lackadaisical attitude towards work and other black elements, which would retard such an aim, were eliminated. Singapore naturally had placed the right priority in it's pursuit to achieve what is best for its people. This is the major difference between these two independent countries.

Malaysia in its various attempts to cover up its failures embarked on several diversions. It wanted its citizens to be proud that the country had the tallest twin-tower in the world, although the structure was designed and built by foreigners. Its now a white-elephant wasting away. It achieved in sending a man into space at an exorbitant price. For what purpose? These are what the Malays of old would say "menang sorak" (hollow victories).

It should be realised that administering a country can be likened to managing a corporate entity. If the management is efficient and dedicated and know what they are doing, the company will prosper. The reverse will be if the management is poor and bad. The company will go bust. There are five countries around this region. There is Malaysia , and then Indonesia . To the east there is the Philippines and then there is that small enclave called the Sultanate of Brunei . All these four countries have abundance of natural resources but none can lay claim to have used all these resources to benefit the people. Poverty was rampant and independence had not brought in any significant benefits to the people. But tiny Singapore without any resources at all managed to bring development to its citizens. It had one of the best public MRT transport systems and airlines in the world and it is a very clean city state. Their universities, health care, ports are among the best in the world. It is impossible to compare what Singapore has achieved to what all these four countries had so far achieved. It was actually poor management and corruption, and nothing more. Everything is done for the vested interest of the few.

Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines and the Sultanate of Brunei need good management teams. They would not be able to do this on their own steam. I would advise that they call on Kuan Yew to show them what good governance is. Why look East to Japan when it is just next door across the causeway.

Take the risk to change

**Just felt that it is right time to read an article that came into my mail today.**

A primary one student can also claim easily that he can deliver. In fact all salesmen, businessmen and any Tom Dick and Harry can promise and say "I can deliver".

I was disconnected from the virtual and outside world for almost a month and have no idea what the local political scenes have turned into. While eating the bungkus nasi lemak I read from the wrapped star paper headlines "I can deliver - Najib Razak".Today after getting connected again and having read most of the political news, I wonder what the PM meant by "I can deliver". By just giving a salesman type of answer "I can deliver" means nothing if the whole system of manufacturing the product is not working in sync.

Way back in the late 90's when I was in the US, I applied for a delivery job in a restaurant. The boss asked me one question 'can you deliver?' and of course my answer was 'I can deliver'. He started laughing and told me that he had fired six delivery men within six months, all answering the same question with 'I can deliver'

I asked what went wrong. The boss then explained, either the car broke down frequently, not able to read the road map, poor working relationship with co-workers or flirting around. I then assured the boss that these will not be my problems and to try me out for a month. Since the restaurant was in urgent need of a delivery man I was employed.

Within two months I was named the fastest delivery man in town and of course the boss was laughing all the way to the bank because I can make so many deliveries for him each day. What the people wanted when they order delivery was that the food arrives in time and still in warm and tasty condition. I seldom cross the speed limit and never got caught for any traffic offenses. There were complaints to the boss that I deliver too fast, no joke. So, how did I successfully make the delivery? Here is how.Within two weeks of employment I changed my old broken down Fort Escort for a brand new Nissan Sentra. Inside the kitchen there were the Chinese (China) chef, Indonesian helpers (preparing the raw ingredients), Americans taking the phone orders and packaging. I work very closely with them all. Once orders were taken, the American will let me know the addresses (I always reminded the Americans to make sure the addresses are always correct) and I will study the map and find the locations. Next I will work with the chef to speed up on the delivery orders. The American will follow the list that I provided that highlights which address I will deliver first and packed them accordingly to the routes that I will be driving. You can deliver successfully only when the whole system is functioning properly.

Najib Razak alone cannot make any delivery if he fails to clean up the whole system that runs the government. The whole system is rotten to the core. Even his own DPM is not working or talking in sync with his policies. How can the PM then make any delivery? Sending his cybertroopers to attack the opposition with unsubstantiated claim of wrong doings, sexual misconduct and created lies upon lies do not help either.Giving out goodies only near election time is no delivery but an insult to the voters. Playing cool on the outside but cold inside that calls for "crushed bodies and lost lives" ain't delivery. Flip flopping and making u-turns after policy statements cannot count as delivery. Copying from others and treated as yours are not delivery.Without making changes to the judiciary, PDRM, MACC, EC, laws that hinder democracy and race and religious relationships and appointing suitable, qualified and capable candidates to important Minister posts such as finance and education I can bet that Najib can only deliver zero.

Today PM Najib has given us very good advice, "Don't be afraid to take risks", so what are you all waiting for, grumbling or being indecisive about. BN is Umno that has been in power for over five decades and we have seen and heard how bad they are and yet we keep voting them in because we dare not take the risk. With Najib's advice, we can now take the risks to CHANGE the bad and filthy Umno government. Go for it, believe me, this risk is worth taking.

What Changes Can there Be? The 10 Resolutions

Pakatan Rakyat Convention - 10 resolutions

You won't get this in the newspapersThe Pakatan Rakyat convention in Penang sent an unmistakable and chilling signal to arch rivals - Prime Minister Najib Razak and the Umno-BN coalition. Despite a roller coaster journey since sweeping to power in the 2008 general election, Pakatan has not been diminished by the enmity and malice unleashed by its political opponents, but has been able to mature and grow stronger in the process.Indeed, the star-studded conference hall was packed with the likes of PAS president Hadi Awang, Mujahid Yusof Rawa, PKR president Wan Azizah, Selangor Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh.Pakatan delegates and other members of the public who wanted to meet their 'reformasi' heroes were spoiled for choice.

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, who is also Penang Chief Minister, played host to the 2,000-strongCrowd at the convention.Racial policies rejected, preliminary 10-point manifesto unveiled. In a rousing opening address, Guan Eng warned Prime Minister Najib Razak's Umno party not to 'hijack' the federal constitution and misinterpret the controversial Article 153 to divide the ethnic groups in the country."Somehow Umno always fails to mention that Article 153 also states that the legitimate interests of other communities must also be protected, Guan Eng said.Guan Eng also unveiled a ten-point document to be signed by all the top Pakatan leaders and which is set to become the coalition's preliminary manifesto in the coming general election. The resolutions o utline in detail the changes Pakatan will introduce within the first 100 days of its taking over Putrajaya if it wins the next general election expected to be held early next year.

The resolutions are:
1. A restructure of institutions including the Elections Commission (EC), the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), the Attorney-General's Chambers and the Royal Malaysian Police. During a debate on the policy framework, DAP's Anthony Loke requested PR bring the MACC under the purview of Parliament.

2. A repeal of the Internal Security Act (ISA)

3. Instruct Khazanah Berhad, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and other government bodies to take over highway assets from the concessionaires in order to abolish the toll system.

4. A restructure of the country's subsidies, to lessen subsidies given to the private sector (such as the RM19 billion in gas subsidies given to independent power producers) and transferring these to subsidies for theMan on the street.

5. Acknowledging the role and sacrifices of civil servants by studying the current pay schemes and increasing the incentives for teachers by RM500 a month

6. Transferring private water concessions to the government

7. Offering free wireless Internet access to those in urban and semi-urbanAreas

8. Cancelling Felda Plantations and opening up its farms to second- and third generation Felda settlers.

9. Increasing oil royalty payments to Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu and Kelantan to 20 per cent from 5 per cent currently.

. Formation of a Royal Commission to solve the problem of illegal immigrants and citizenship issues in Sabah and Sarawak .

** Just give Malaysia a change in this coming General Election and experience the drastic changes that follows......**

It Does Matter who is elected to Putrajaya

A foreign press has reported as follows:-

Malaysia:Sinking deeper and deeper KL must take urgent action to cut alarming - and growing - national debt .

MALAYSIA should take heed of the problems - the public anger, the social unrest - posed by the solutions offered to tackle rising sovereign debt in Europe. God forbid that we head that way! The Auditor-General's recent report pointed out that Malaysia's national debt rose 12.3 per cent to over RM407 billion (S$165 billion) in 2010. The amount is equivalent to 53.1 per cent of gross domestic product. It's the second straight year that the national debt has exceeded 50 per cent. The figure is a reflection of the spending spree the country went on to mitigate the effects of the 2009 global financial crisis. At its peak that year, the budget deficit rose to 7.6 per cent of GDP, the highest in two decades. It has since come down to 5.4 per cent of GDP and the government projects that it will decline further to 4.7 per cent of GDP next year. But that may be overly optimistic.

Everyone knows why the debt has piled up: persistently high budget deficits over 14 years. But it is the pace of the rise that's alarming. Standout statistic: in the space of six years, total federal government debt has actually doubled from 2004. That way lies folly. Malaysia's debt position is close to breaching legislative levels set a long time ago by Parliament. According to the Auditor-General's report, public debt from domestic sources rose RM41.76 billion to RM390.36 billion last year, while loans from foreign sources rose to RM16.75 billion, or up RM2.96 billion. But the Loan (Local) and Government Investment Act caps the domestic debt ceiling at 55 per cent (of GDP) for the government, while the External Loans Act 1963 limits foreign loan exposure to RM35 billion. According to the report, the domestic debt level at end-2010 stood at 51 per cent of GDP.

The great irony of the situation is that it need not have come to that. The Auditor-General's report revealed a litany of financial abuse in several government agencies. Leakages and wastage of appalling proportions were laid bare. Marine binoculars being purchased at 25 times cost? Over RM5 million to buy horses? If all the wastage was cut and proper procedures observed all the way down, one suspects that Malaysia would be a budget-surplus country. Nor is national debt going to fall any time soon. Next year, it's estimated that the debt will breach RM455 billion - almost 54 per cent of GDP.

The danger for Kuala Lumpur is another recession stemming from the West's economic woes. This time it cannot afford to spend its way out of it, like it did in 2009. On top of that, subsidies on fuel and other essentials like cooking oil, milk, rice and sugar remain intractably high at RM32 billion this year. And the hits just keep on coming. According to the country's central bank, the national debt as at June 30, 2011 has risen to RM437 billion, with domestic debt amounting to RM421 billion and foreign debt at RM16 billion.

** It does matters who Malaysians will put to govern the nation. Malaysia may go bankrupt in the next round, and the rakyat suffers. Pakatan Rakyat definitely is a good alternative to save Malaysia.**

General Election Delayed !

It looks like the GE is delayed. This shows that BN need more time to work on getting the support of the people.....They knew they are not able to win the people over their side. Rakyat Malaysia is going for a change over!!

It is good for Pakatan also. Time for the member parties to review their nation building manifesto..... rich nation, low cost of living, and a fair and just government for ALL rakyat.

How to decrease the debts of the nation?
How to lighten up the financial burden of the rakyat? This the new government must review the tax systems and to improve and subsidise public facilities, and public transport system.
Building up the nation with bright Malaysians, Malaysians of all communities.

Introduce attractive incentives to draw talents back from overseas---a faster way of nation building.

While waiting for the coming GE, begin to work on shortlisted candidates: candidates who are in to win, and to serve the nation, NOT in as a investor, hoping to make money out of political
career. Each MP candidate must write their own vision and proposal for a progressive Malaysia. For potential YB they must write on what they visualise as the best way to improve the quality of livelihood in their respective constinuecy. How they would go about be a real friend and representative of the people.

Those who are not listed should not cause any problem to the party----- just humbly give way to a better man.

This delay is good for Pakatan....make good use of the longer time available to explain our national problem to our people.
God bless Malaysia!

Right Man for the Right Job

This coming election Malaysians are voting to TURN MALAYSIA into a progressive nation. Cutting down national debts, to creat a favorable investment atmosphere for foreign investment, to fight inflation, and to improve basic amenity for a better living for all rakyat Malaysia.

This must start with curbing of corruption at top level to prevent misapproriating public fund.
Next is to restructure our educational system and policy, to retain the cream of our intellectual population for national growth---- cutting down brain drain.
Appointment of the right man to the right job in all government departments.

Looking into modernise agricultural practices---- raising the status and income of our agricultural sectors.

PKR must make sure to place the right man of the right calibre for this coming election. People who know their responsibility of creating a Better Malaysia. Joining in not for personal gain but for national building---- building up Malaysia. Malaysians wanted to stand tall and be proud of our nation. NOT to be a laughing -stock of the world.

People of Malaysia must take this coming election seriously, lest our nation may enter into a era of NO-RETURN..... going down the drain. Presently we are still in time to SAVE Malaysia.

Let us show the world we can do it peacefully, just by way of the ballot and many would have to pack and go home.

BN Component Parties Must Make A Stand

ALL BN component parties must make a stand whether they really agreed to what UMNO is doing to the nation at large? Speak out NOW or nobody will speak out for YOU when you are hurt!

It is Malaysia's future that we are concern, we are NOT CONCERN for UMNO or BN'f win or lose.

People of Malaysia must make a change this time---- to save Malaysia from going into a bankrupt state. We need to review all racist policies introduced by UMNO so that we can bring back the glory of Malaysia, and attract foreign investments, and allow the people to enjoy the prosperity of Malaysia.

Do not play into the hand of UMNO but be brave to tell the truth. Turn the table over and you can still stand tall and walk with pride. Enough is enough----- Malaysians are no fools. Malaysians know what is going on.

Living in debts and living on credit is not right. If national revenue is returned to the Rakyat, many of us can live with ease. Millions from UMNOputras must be returned to national treasury.

People of Malaysia, stand up, including our BN component parties. Save Malaysia is our top priority.

Who is rude to the Sultans? Read for yourself

After what he did to the Rulers, Dr M has the least right to rebuke Aziz Bari
Written by Melissa Lee

In what many political pundits termed as one of the greatest ironies and an act of great hypocrisy, former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad has condemed law lecturer Aziz Bari as being 'kurang ajar' or rude for questioning the recent decision by the Selangor Sultan over an alleged apostasy and church raid incident.
"It is hypocritical of Mahathir to now defend the Sultans. Who could have been ruder than him and Umno," opposition MP for Batu Tian Chua told Malaysia Chronicle.
Aziz, an outspoken and well-respectecd professor at the International Islamic University of Malaysia, had reportedly said that Sultans could be questioned. There had been much unhappiness over the Selangor Ruler's decision which was deemed unfair by Christian groups.
“In Malay, we call it ‘kurang ajar’. Whether it is against the law or not, I do not know, but morally, it is rude,” Mahathir told reporters on Sunday.
The former PM was seen to be 'politicking'. It is a favorite ploy of the ruling Umno-BN coalition to accuse the Pakatan Rakyat, led by Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, of wanting to dismantle the Constitutional Monarchy system in Malaysia and turn the country into a Republic. The Pakatan has denied this and pointed out that its manifesto promises to protect the sanctity of the Rulers.
Selangor Sultan's controversial ruling
Indeed, although Sultan decreed that no action should be taken against anyone for alleged apostasy, it was because of a lack of 'legal evidence'. He was also seen to have sided the Umno-linked Selangor Islamic Religious Department or Jais in the decision, where Jais had on August 3 raided a dinner event at the Damansara Utama Methodist Church centre on suspicion Christians were trying to proselytize 12 of the Muslim guests presents.
While clearly indicating, he believed there was such a proselytization attempt but could not gather legal evidence to punish, the Sultan disregarded the fact that Jais dod not have a search warrant. This was why his ruling was criticised by many Malaysians, including Muslims. The entire episode is viewed as a bid by Prime Minister Najib Razak's Umno party to discredit the Pakatan Rakyat state government and rally Muslim support behind Umno leaders.
As if on cue, a coalition of Muslim NGOs called Himpun was immediately set up to defend the Islamic faith. It now plans to ride on the back of the Sultan's statement and organise a One Million Muslims gathering on October 22.
"They are also trying to challenge PAS for the Malay-Muslim vote, but I don't any support for them apart from their own members," Hatta Ramli, the Kuala Krai MP, told Malaysia Chronicle.
What Mahathir did to the Rulers in the 80s
But above all, the most nonsensical touch in the entire affair must surely be Mahathir's latest comments against Aziz because the former premier was the man who had whittled away the Rulers' powers during his tenure as PM from 1981 to 2003. Never trust Umno when they start talking about the Monarchy in Malaysia, is the actual clarion cry of political watchers in the country.
In 1983, Umno under Mahathir's leadership took on the royalty, launching the first of many maneuvers. Mahathir, then also the Umno president, stepped forward to introduce amendments to the constitution to limit the Agong’s or King's authority over Parliament. The Agong would have to assent to a bill within 15 days of being passed by Parliament and most importantly the amendments would remove the royal power to declare a state of emergency - shifting it from the Agong and to the Prime Minister.
At first, the Agong refused to bend to Mahathir’s will and His Majesty was supported by the Sultans, conservative UMNO politicians, a large number in the Malay community and an even larger number from the Chinese community.
But Mahathir had the media on his side and took to the streets, organising mass rallies to show public support was behind him. Ironic that none of these street rallies were illegal nor were they deemed a threat to national security or damaging to the country’s economy.
After five months, the two sides reached a compromise with the power to declare Emergency still in the Agong’s hands but if a bill was not assented to by the Agong, the bill would be returned to Parliament to be endorsed, which meant that Parliament could over-ride the Agong’s veto.
In the 90s
In his second decade in office, Mahathir again found himself battling Malaysia's royalty. In 1992, the late Sultan Iskandar's son, a hockey player was suspended from competition for five years for assaulting an opponent. Sultan Iskandar retaliated by pulling all Johor hockey teams out of national competitions. When his decision was criticised by a local coach, Sultan Iskandar ordered him to his Palace and promptly had the coach beaten up.
The federal Parliament unanimously censured Sultan Iskandar, and Mahathir leapt at the opportunity to remove the constitutional protection of the Sultans from civil and criminal suits.
The mainstream media, as usual, backed Mahathir and in an unprecedented development started airing allegations of misconduct by members of Malaysia's royal families. As the press revealed 'examples' of the Rulers' extravagant wealth, Mahathir resolved to cut financial support to royal households.
Faced with a hostile press and federal government, the Sultans capitulated to the government's proposals. Their powers to deny assent to bills were further limited by other constitutional amendments passed in 1994.
So it was that after several fell swoops, Mahathir became the country's 'uncrowned King'. And along with that, UMNO effectively gained control over the royals - imposing its grip over the authority of the Agong.

Be Ready For General Election

Do not be taken ride by BN "topics"---wasting time.
Do not care about what BN is doing--- side track by their election tricks.
Do not get into any open arguement --- show signs of political maturity.
Do not creat any in-fighting among Pakatan member parties --- sign of unpreparedness for Putrajaya.

Instead, talk about Pakatan's vision for Malaysia Baru!
Share how Pakatan will share national revenue with the Rakyat and ensure that Rakyat enjoy the prosperity of Malaysian achievement.
Teach the rakyat how to vote to secure their own right.

Sound it out that Pakatan will make all Rakyat One people of Malaysia ---- giving special attention to the poor among all communities, and giving education aids to all slow learners, and bright opportunity for all the bright students of Malaysia.

Tell the Rakyat how Pakatan is going to draw foreign investors back to Malaysia---- a nation full of talented people and enough of skilled men and women to meet the technical requirement of modern industries.

Promise the nation that Pakatan will definitely improve public transportation facilities nationwide, so that people need not have to own a car! The people can move about cheaply in public transportation.

Let the nation know what Pakatan will do if the people place Pakatan into Putrajaya!

What BN Has Forgotten

Go to Google, Wikipedia, to get this fact confirmed. Please don't fail to read the extract from page 233 of the book mentioned in the last part of this message. Appended below is a piece of Historical fact which was EXTRACTED from the book written by Frank Swettenham!! The UMNO ultras as well as the likes of that so called History scholar by the name of KKK (an OCBC) tried to CONCEAL from all of us ! The Chinese are the ones who developed the Malay States to what it is today!

This is documented fact!
BRITISH MALAYA - An Account of the Origin and Progress of British Influence in Malaya " - by Sir Frank Swettenham, K.C.M.G. (1850-1946).Late Governor of the Straits Colony & High Commissioner for the Federated Malay States. LONDON: John Lane Page 231 ".......I have said that the protected Malay States depended mainly on the tin mines for their revenue, and it was first care of the Government to foster the industry by every legitimate means. As early as 1882 a French company began to mine tin in the Kinta district of Perak, and has extended its operations to the other States. Since then other Europeans have formed companies for the same purpose; but it was the Chinese who began the work, who have continued it ever since, and whose efforts have succeeded in producing more than half of the world's tin supply.

Page 232
Their energy and enterprise have made the Malay States what they are today, and it would be impossible to overstate the obligation which the Malay Government and the people are under to these hard-working, capable and law-abiding. They were already the miners and the traders, and more instances the planters and the fishermen, before the white man had found his way to the Peninsula . In all the early days it was Chinese energy and industry which supplied the fund to begin the construction of roads and public works, and to pay all the other costs of administration. Then they will and still they are, the pioneers of mining. They have driven their way into remote jungles, cleared the forests, run all the risks, and often made great gains. They have also paid penalty imposed by an often deadly climate. But the Chinese were not often miners, they were charcoal- burners in the days when they had to do their own smelting; they were wood-cutters, carpenters, and brickmakers; as contractors they constructed nearly all government buildings, most of the roads and bridges, railways and waterworks. They brought all the capital into the country when Europeans feared to take the risks; they were the traders and shopkeepers, and it was their steamers which first opened regular communications between the ports of the colony and the ports of Malay States. They introduced tens of thousands of their countrymen when the one great need was labour to develop the hidden riches of an almost unknown and jungle-covered country, and it is their work, the taxation of the luxuries of they consume and of the pleasures they enjoy, which has provided something like nine-tenths of the revenue. When it is possible to look back upon a successful experiment, it is always of interest to ascertain the determining factors, and how far each affected the result.

Page 233
The reader should understand at once what is due to Chinese labour and enterprise in the evolution of the Federated Malay States . The part played by the Malay has already been told: it was mainly negative; how far the Government officials, the European planters and the Indian immigrants contributed to the general development of the Country and the position it now occupies will be described in the subsequent chapter............."

Pakatan Without PAS

If Pakatan Rakyat is going to take over Putrajaya, Pakatan must make a stand against Islamic State from the very start. No fooling around.

PAS has not learnt from their past failure. As soon as they are gaining the people's support they are back to religious agneda. PAS should be a good Religious Advisor to Religious Affair Department, but NOT as a political party.

DAP and KeAdilan must make a stand and make it together with other same minded partners---- for a Better Malaysia, People's Malaysia.

Pakatan should not believe that PAS can win all seats they are going to stand in for in the next general election. Their lost will mean BN's walk over. So either KeAfilan or DAP must consider to send in a candidate where PAS may be standing in. This will ensure the way to Putrajaya.

People are with Pakatan for a change, but PAS has rocked the situation and causing must anxiety among the rakyat. So making a stand NOW will gain the support of the people. Go without PAS.

We Must Be A Thinking People of Malaysia

By Mariam Mokhtar
A country that has won Merdeka, in name only, cannot be considered free or independent if its people are afraid to speak up to determine their future.
Isn’t it time we thought in terms of liberating our minds from the shackles of Umno? We need to be free from thinking that only Umno is our saviour. We need the liberty to appreciate freely that Malaysia is a product of all its peoples and not a success just because of the one race.
When the country was a colony, the vanguard of freedom fighters had a common objective – independence. Today, we seem to have lost our sense of direction. We are like a rudderless ship and with no skipper to steer us, we are aimlessly drifting with the tide.
On 31 August 1957, Malaya achieved its independence from its colonial masters. However, it appears that we have swopped one set of rulers, the British, for another, Umno.
Others will rubbish this claim and say that the real problem is because the current Umno has evolved into a hybrid monster of the old Umno. Maybe the truth lies somewhere in between.
Umno duped everyone, including their partners in the BN-coalition, the MCA and the MIC. These two component parties believed that they were representing the interests of the Chinese and the Indians of Malaysia. They took their cue from Umno, to create more fear and instability. Between them, they engineered ways and means to control the people.
First, the government used scare tactics on the people. Then, they started to demoralise those whom they had just frightened.
We have seen a steady increase in threats including death threats, unlawful arrests, detentions, fire-bombings and protests against law-abiding citizens. To spread the fear, so that the hidden threat reaches as many people as possible, the mainstream media helps Umno.
One shopkeeper said, “I dare not open my mouth to criticise because the police would catch me. That would be it for me and my family would never see me again.”
How can a country be considered independent if its own people are afraid to say and speak their mind, because they know their freedom will be curtailed?
Second is the silent majority, who is aware of what is going on but for one reason or another, refuses to voice its disapproval.
What is it that motivates them? Is it fear, apathy or their indebtedness to Umno? Why do they remain silent and give the rabble-rousers the courage to continue and destroy the harmony, previously enjoyed by Malaysians?
Those who do not benefit from Umno’s largesse are full of resentment. It is not just non-Malays against Malays, for within the Malay ranks, there is also great animosity.
Umno is aware that the ability to choose, depends on the freedom to make choices. However, when people are indebted to Umno, in one way or another, then the freedom to choose is no longer there.
Politicians who have no concept of governance and who are devoid of policies, have no qualms about using religion to divide and rule. For these people, their only hope for an increased following, is by instilling fear.
We have observed several downtrends in our educational policies and seen the nation become divided because of our educational system and the preferential treatment being given to the majority race.
Again, Umno is aware that with an educated and confident nation, it would be more difficult to rule.
Without the ability to free our minds of Umno’s brainwashing, many of us become impressed with the show of wealth and the line-up of mega-projects, that Umno displays.
If we liberated our minds and thought rationally, we would wonder why it is possible to find billions to build these monuments to Umno and its leaders, but very little money in comparison can be found to help the ordinary people?
For decades, Umno conned us with cheap slogans and we went along with them. Originally, the rakyat was complacent, but no more.
The turning point was reached in 2008, when it was shown that Umno was slacking. That is why any initiative on our part to strive for change has been challenged forcefully, by Umno. That is why we saw the EO-6 or PSM-6 being detained. That is why Umno have discovered so many perceived threats to Islam. That is why Bersih was seen as a danger to Umno’s leaders.
Many of us may have lost hope and may refuse to vote because we may feel it will not make a difference.
That would spell an even greater disaster for Malaysia. If the poor utilised their power to vote and went out to vote for people who would represent their interests, only then would there be, a true democratic revolution. The rakyat may find that finally, their needs and that of their community, will be met. Now that would be liberating.

Betryal of Malaysia

Is it true that illegal migrants, especially of Indonesia, are being registered as voters for the coming General Election?

This is a serious action----- the betrayal of Malaysia by those who are crazy to hold on to power at all costs.

If this is true, it is equivalent of surrendering Malaysia to Indonesia, and in not many years down the road, Indonesians will be holding power and ruling Malaysia. By that time, Malaysians of Malay descendant will be at the most disadvantage position. The Indonesians who came to power has no love for Malaysia or our historical past. they may want to rid of the Malaysian monarchy system.

Only Malaysians of Malaysia descent value our present system, be it a Chinese, Indian, or a Malay descent. BUT NOT the Indonesians who are made to votes, Indonesians who are created to be Malaysians by the corrupt systems.

If the fact is true, whoever has an access to the facts, please bring it to the open and save Malaysia from being handed over to the Indonesians by the act of greed for power by some.

If the act of betrayal is true, ALL MALAYSIANs must vote away such crazy systems, and put bring them to the court of law for betrayal of Malaysia.

Hopefully those who are doing it realise the seriousness of it and put a stop to it immediately.

Will A Fair Minded Government Jail Him? Why him?

Subject: Dr Jeyakumar who is being detained
Dr Jeyakumar, MP for Sungei Siput.....A Socialist in the true sense, a full time
social worker from young, a rare species of man with great heart & kindness!! He is an Old Frees ( Penang Free School ) from Penang

Is he a Communist terrorist???
The heart of a gentle person - Dr Jeyakumar

I am writing this urgent letter to all Malaysians to be aware of the suffering that all the 6 PSM members are going thru . Isolated from loved ones and family they will have to beg to go to Toilet , or shave or bathe and hence the mental torture starts .I am writing on behalf of Dr Jeyakumar as I am a part of his family .I hope and trust that the family members of the others will start writing too to urge people not to stand for the utterly stupid charges against the 6 .If in fact there was a T shirt or poster of " former " CPM leader Chin Peng , how is it wrong . ???

The National Libraries and most libraries in Universities have many books on communism for reference and reading . There are even books with his pictures as well as other involved in the struggle at that time. Is Hishamuddin going to remove all reference books in all the libraries ?? Is he going to have all the Librarians arrested or having reference material on communism ??

Hishamuddin calls the Bersih Rally illegal and as such justifies the wearing of bersih T shirts illegal also and had the 30 peole arrested . If so , the Perkasa rally and UMNO Youth rally was also illegal , can we assume as such that wearing Perkasa shirts and UMNO Youth Illegal . Hishamuddin is the most shameless politician for using such a stupid comparison . He takes us ordinary Malaysians as stupid but we have to show his in a clear, non violent and reasonable way that we will not accept this action .

Dr Jeyakumar

I know Dr Jeyakumar personally . His father is also a doctor. Let me first tell you some childhood stories that will capture your imagination of this simple yet strong willed but gentle person .

1 st personal story

In his teens One day he went to to town to buy some items . He simply wore slippers and told his mum that he will be back later .A few hours later he called and asked his mum to please come and fetch him back . His mum was busy and asked him to take the bus but he pleaded with her to just come this time . She relented and went to pick him up and found him without slippers !!! standing on the inside of the pavement in a shop away from the heat of the midday sun .

Looking relieved he quickly jumped into the car . People had been staring at him whenever they passed by and wondering what was wrong with this boy . In the car he explained that he saw an old man shuffling about without slippers and could not stand it anymore and just gave him his own slippers to walk .

Only after doing that he realised that the pavement was very hot and couldn't walk to the bus stop and also was receiving strange stares from passerby and decided to call his mother.

Such is the heart of this gentle man who has been arrested by Hishamuddin and the police saying he is a communist and was carrying Bersih T shirts
2 nd personal story

When he was in University Malaya he constantly involved himself in the plight of the estate workers . I know personally of how he started tuition classes in many estates from sg Siput to BUTTERWORTH for poor students during his semester breaks. His legacy still continues till today with Indian students still sacrificing their important time during their breaks to tutor underprivileged students in estates till today .

When he became a doctor , he requested his posting to be in Sarawak interior where many places had no electricity and reachable by boat to treat orang asli and start education programmes for kindergarten aged children . He stayed for many ,many years in Sarawak doing selfless work among the poor and destitute .

Such is the heart of this gentle man who has been arrested by Hishamuddin and the police saying he is a communist and was carrying Bersih T shirts

3 rd personal story

Once when I was in Ipoh few years ago ,way before he became Member of Parliament (and like David beating Goliath - won the Parliamentary seat from Samy Velu) saw me and asked me if I was free . I replied that I was and and in the night approx 9 after he had finished his hospital rounds picked me up and we drove many miles and reached a large squatter area . The old blue rickety Volkswagon tumbled and tossed in the uneven mud road and there were no streetlights at all and we ere driving in the dark .

After a long time we reached a broken down hut and inside was an old Indian lady on a makeshift bed . Dr Kumar listened for a long time to her crying and after sometime he gently talked to her and gave her some painkiller injections and she soon slept off . On the way back he told me that she was in the end stage of her cancer and was dying and in so much pain . He made this trip twice or 3 times a week as she could not come to a hospital for pain medication . I sat quietly reflection how much just one person can do and how we who are so blessed do so little .

Dr Kumar is my cousin and I am proud to know him . !!! My relationship throughout the years have enriched me tremendously. I hope that reading this that you will not believe the lies that the mainstream newspapers is trying to tell you .

All of the 6 deserve our support and love - more so at this time , This is my simple testimony . I am sure that many , many more people will be able to share more experiences that they have had with Dr Kumar .

His gentle heart , his ready ear for listening even to the smallest complaints . I am enraged that they have locked him up without his seeing his wife and son and parents and friends. It is said that h is in solitary confinement . His 19 year old son who was also on the bus was arrested with him and kept in the lock up .

Please read and pass to friends if you can . Remember - All it takes for Evil to Triumph is for good people to do nothing !!

Proud to be his friend,

Christopher

What Racist Policy? Is it true of BN?

I read another email and I hope it is not true. Otherwise, there will be no future for Malaysia with such racist party who just wanted to remain in power even to the extend of destroying the nation. Read for your self:-

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 — I am one of the privileged few to have attended a local public university and learned the meaning of hate, thanks to the ever popular Biro Tata Negara.

All undergraduates were forced to attend this programme or else they would not be eligible for graduation.

The BTN under the Prime Minister’s Department brought in “intellectual” speakers who were supposed to enlighten the students about the meaning of being a Malaysian but instead it felt more like a communist propaganda camp brainwashing those attending about the importance of “Ketuanan Melayu”.

The camp would usually take place during the weekends. Students would have to register early in the morning and the programme would last the whole day.

The organisers were always on their guard, asking participants to show their student identification cards each time they entered the hall, fearing the presence of outsiders.

In the hall, students were asked to turn off their mobile phones. During the lectures, questions were planted among the audience and the students were advised not ask raise any questions.

One speaker began with the history of Malaysia and how much the country had gone through, always emphasising the May 13 riots.

He stressed the point of how much the Malays had sacrificed and how the community should be united especially from outside threat — the Chinese community.

He said that the Chinese community were “the Jews of Asia” and were just itching to take over when Malays were disunited and broken.

The speaker also revealed a greater Chinese conspiracy where the Chinese Malaysians were working together with Singapore to topple the Malay government.

“Do you want to become like the Malays in Singapore?” he asked. He also went so far as to criticise Malay girls for dating boys from other races.

He added that they should not be cheap and embarrass their families.

Once, a student told the speaker that as Muslims, we should also respect other races who are also Muslims.

“All Muslims are Malays so it does not matter if they are Chinese or Indians. If they are Muslims then they are Malays,” the speaker replied.

This is why I was relieved when I learned that the Selangor government had moved to ban its civil servants, employees of state subsidiaries and students at state-owned education institutions from attending any BTN courses with immediate effect.

However I believe racism in varsities does not end at BTN because classrooms have also become victims of ignorant scholars.

My friend was verbally abused during his sociology class when he did not agree with the points made by his lecturer.

“You must be DKK,” the lecturer told him.

“What is DKK?” he asked.

“You must be darah keturunan keling (descendents of Indians),” the lecturer said, pointing to his dark skin.

My Saudi friend was also shocked by the comments made by his lecturer in his Islamic civilisation class.

“We should save our Orang Asli from the Chinese people. They are like the Palestinians and the Chinese are Israel. We must fight the Jews,” the lecturer told his students.

The lecturer even failed one of his students in his oral exam when he quoted a Western scholar in his presentation.

“You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a Muslim and should only use Islamic scholars,” he scolded the student.

I was personally saddened when my Islamic law lecturer compared Christianity to Head & Shoulder’s 3 in 1 shampoo in referring to the religion’s Holy Trinity.

I feel that racism has been institutionalised in our country and that BTN is only the tip of the iceberg.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin defended BTN yesterday and claimed that it was not racist but is line with the 1 Malaysia concept.
I have to humbly disagree and would like to suggest maybe the ministers should bring their overseas children home and let them have a taste of what BTN is.

** Every general election is an opportunity to change the government. Every general election is the chance to remove some arrogant politician. It is also a time to imrpove the system of the nation. However, if rakyat Malaysia is dumb dumb as to put such people back into authority, Malaysia is destined to decline in the world arena. In no gtime Malaysia will be falling behind Vietnam, and Malaysia will be exporting manpower, maids etc to other nations, and Malaysia will be a poor nation.***

High Handed Treatment ---How True is it?

Received suc an email content, it shocked me. Can Malaysia with a government elected by the Rakyat acted so hard on the rakyat that put them into place? How about removing them in the coming General Election with our votes?

Read and see, just wonder how true it is.

UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF THE 30 ACTIVISTS REMANDED IN PENANGYesterday 30 June 2011, finally after 4 days of pressure, the police finally allowed visitation rights for the family.During this visitation the detainees informed that they were harrased and mentally tortured. Currently the detainees are being questioned intensively by officers from the Police Headquarters in KL ( Bukit Aman)

Among the shocking revelation of the tortures unleashed by the Bukit Aman team is :
Solitary confinement
All the seven detainees in IPK are placed in solitary confinement and we learned that some others at Butterworth and Kepala Batas has since yesterday been placed under solitary confinement.
These practice is illegal and is most commonly used during the first 60 days of ISA torture
These detainees are also interrogated long hours between 9 till 5pm daily
Deny Legal Representatives
In spite being a Constitutional Right – the Right to legal representation - All detainees has been denied their lawyer from meeting them except for the two juveniles in custody.
Denied Medication
Some of those detained have complained that they have been denied medication in spite of their health condition.
Some detainees who need special food due to their health conditions are denied these foods and are given normal foods like other detainees.
Inhumane, Demoralisation and Foul language
Most detainees have complained that the Bukit Aman Team has also employed degrading foul language and are called things like “pariah” and other degrading language.
Some detainees are also forced to stand during the entire interrogation therefore torture and punishments seems to be the order of the day rather than investigation.
Denied Basic Items
Most detainees were denied basic items such as soap and toothpaste and some were only given yesterday, despite the fact that these items were provided by families to the police on Monday to be passed to the detainees.
Denied sufficient drinking water
Most detainees complain that water was only given during meals and not at other times
Some Hindu detainees were also given beef to eat.

Hope it is not true. One of these days, the victims will make onown to the public.

Blow It Up as a Respond to the Arrest

Now the rakyat should know BERSIH as well as any other On to the Street action is NOT the answer to the present Malaysian situation. Make it BIG and make it sound aloud to the ears and hearts of Rakyat malaysia----- only through the VOTES!

Pakatan Rakyat should sound it aloud at this point of time on the media and websites, email etc. though it is lawful to go to the street, but the rule of the game is---- you good intent for the good of Malaysia can be twisted and turned.

So if Malaysians wanted to see a better Malaysia in the years ahead, vote for the power of Rakyat and for our children and their chidlren. Dont wait until Malaysia is bankcrupt, and be made into a nation in great debts. It is now or never to save Malaysia!

Make it BIG NOW on the media. A back fire of BN strategy.

How Malaysian Look At The Present Situation

Together we'll tighten our grip on their gullibility.
(The money for both their suits would feed a rural family of 4 for a couple of months. At least!)

We all know politicians tend to talk cock. Most of the time. But there are times when the cock they talk can really get on your goat la. Like today in The Star, the Deputy Prime Minister announced that there are going to be "increase in prices on various products due to increase in oil prices and reduction in food supply caused by changes in the global climate." I especially like that last part. "......caused by changes in the global climate." Phwaaar!!! Sounds damn terror, right? Changes in global climate. Of course, if you read on you will realise that part of what he was trying to do was to cushion the announcement that the government was going to cut subsidies on diesel among other things. Cuts in subsidies are inevitable I suppose but it was the DPM's next statement that really pissed me off.He said "Malaysians should control their expenses and learn to increase their own food supply."

Doesn't that make you mad? Control expenses? Like how? Eat ONE meal a day instead of THREE? Tighten the belts some more? If we tighten belts any more like the DPM and last time the PM advised us to do we'd die of asphyxiation. Increase our own food supply?

How? Plant rice in terrace house 4ftx6ft "gardens"? And in the meantime the government has just spent money erecting all those 1Malaysia monuments to stupid extravagance all over the country, bought submarines that don't submerge to patrol ...... (actually to patrol what ah?), failed to explain YB's whose lifestyles are comparable or exceed those of the rich and famous, or YB children who can afford to even consider RM400million divorce settlements......you can continue the list as you wish. And you know you can make a long list.

What Have YOU cintributed to the nation?

I came across an article written by a Malaysian who is concerned for Malaysia today. Hope the article will instil wisdom toward a better Malaysia.

The Malay nuisance
MAY 24 — After 54 years of independence, the insecurities faced by the Malay community is no longer a dilemma but becoming more like a nuisance, hampering the country’s growth and well-being.It is utterly irresponsible for middle class Malays to continueharping about self righteous Malay or “Muslim” agenda while the poor are still struggling with bread and butter issues like unemployment and proper education.

Having graduated from a local Islamic university, I am well aware of the conspiracy theories that continue to bog down the Malay psyche with self defeatist mentality. The vicious cycle of hate and animosity will not benefit anyone and certainly not the Malays. It saddens me when prophecies of hate are being professed by so called “intellectuals” of the community. What is even more sickening is their answer to an intellectualdiscourse of blaming others instead of trying to find real solutionsthat will solve real problems.

Despite being a majority in the country, why are we still obsessedwith this siege mentality? Our country did not gain independence yesterday. We should not be questioning the patriotism or rights of our fellow Malaysians but question what our “Malay” government has done to help elevate the dire economic situation of the poor? Why blame the Chinese or Indians when the leaders of our country have always been a Malay? What has “ketuanan melayu” or the Malay agenda brought to the villages or urban villages after Merdeka?Yes, the government has brought us development but that is our right as citizens of the country. That is the right of every community in the country, not the Malays alone.

Why talk about hudud or implementing syariah law when we cannot fulfill the basic tenet of Islamic jurisprudence which is justice. Why cut the hand of a man that steals bread when leaders continue to swindle our riches? Is the objective of Islamic law to only punish? I think not.Islam is not a about grand mosques or prayer rooms but the people.Where were the so called Muslim or Malay NGOs when the Lynas plant was announced or more recently the landslide that killed so many innocent children?

The call for an Islamic state is a luxury when the poor continue to beg for mercy. We should stop questioning other races but start questioning ourselves what we have contributed to the country.

When We Move In Racial Politic...

Do you know what we mean when politicians move along racial politic? Read how extreme one can be!

"kita memberikan"---it sound like the people he was talking about were not Malaysians!Sound like refugee from some unknown country.
Calling Malaysia an Islamic Sate had given the impression that the non muslim rakyat Malaysia are not Malaysians at all. Whereas the constitution has only spell out the Islam is the Agama Rasmi of Malaysia. How dangerous when Malaysians do not abide closely to the Constitution.

He seems to suggest that those non muslim Malaysians who have failed to abide to the Social
Contract must be chase out of their own mother land---Malaysia.

How facts can be distorted by politicians as well as people who are ill informed of history. Malaysia is always a secular country with Islam as its offical religion. This is history. The so call special privilege was to safe guard of this very important fact of history. Now it has been distorted. Unless Malaysians stick to the Constitution and stand by the true historical fact, we are in trouble.

"kita masih belum bebas" What is he trying to say? Bebas from UMNOputraism? or Bebas from Colonialism? or what..... We are to uphold Democracy and uphold our Merdeka Constitution of 1957. That was how Malaya followed by Malaysia was established.

To save Malaysia from extremism, we need to change to Pakatan Rakyat in the next coming general election. Who has indoctrinated the mind of racism in Malaysia? The answer is simple. What we need to educate ourselves is that WE ARE MALYSIANS loving and building up this land of MALAYSIA in harmony and in unity. Giving room and freedom to religious practices, and allowing the Rakyat the freedom of choice of any political party believing in democracy.

What went wrong? NEP? Grant? Priority? or Education

I came across the following article in my mail. I felt that whoever is the next government of Malaysia, they should set to re educate the Malay community to thrifty and good value of life. Should introduce new measures to let them grow and earn their living like any ordinary Malaysians, with some government asistance. Otherwise, the community will not learn to value whatever they own and would not be willing to plan ahead. Why? Tunggu peruntukan kerajaan mah! Too dependent on aids. Read for yourselves...

*Govt Was Right 35 Years Ago ...By Retired Umno Man

Umno, the Malay Chamber of Commerce, Perkasa, Ibrahim Ali, and what not are shouting, ranting, raving, screaming & hollering about ‘nasib Melayu’ or the plight of the Malays, in particular the Malays of Penang.I don’t know what Ibrahim Ali was doing back in the mid-1970s but judging from the age of many of those others in the crowd I think many of them tak sunat lagi back in the mid-1970s. Tak sunat lagi means you are so young that you are not circumcised yet & your little dick still has its foreskin.

Yes, back in the mid-1970s - 35 years or so ago when I was still in my 20s & not even 30 yet - I was already fighting to improve the lot of the Malays. And 35 years ago those shouting, ranting, raving, screaming & hollering today were either too damn young or were not even born yet. We realised even back then that if something were not done the Malays would be left out. We realised that unless something were done now, 35 years ago, the Malays would be left behind. So we sat down with various Malay leaders & those who walk in the corridors of power - the Prime Minister included - to plan & chart the future of the Malays. And we did this for more than 20 years from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s before I decided it was a lost cause & that I had better move on to other things.

The problem we faced was as what the then Minister of Trade & Industry, Rafidah Aziz said: Melayu mampu daya maju, tapi tak mampu daya tahan. This came from the Minister herself & means the Malays can be viable but can’t be sustainable. Malays can achieve success but can’t sustain the success. The Minister then revealed details & lamented about all the wealth the government gave the Malays in the form of land, concessions, permits, ‘pink slips’ on new stock exchange listings, and what not, which, if the Malays had kept, would mean the Malays would have far exceeded the 30% target of the New Economic Policy. But the Malays did not keep this wealth. The Malays sold it. The land, concessions, permits, ‘pink slips’ on new stock exchange listings, and what not, were all sold. So the Malay holding reduced & ended up in the hand of the non-Malays. This was what troubled the government, the Malay leaders, those who walk in the corridors of power, and us in the Malay Chamber of Commerce. So they now lament about how left behind the Malays in Penang are.

They should chart the progression of the Malays in Penang from 224 years ago until today & analyse at what point it went up & went down again. Were the Malays driven out? Were the Malays pushed out? Or did the Malays sell out? And why & how did the Malays sell out? There is such a thing called the law of supply & demand. There is such a thing called market forces. There is such a thing called willing buyer, willing seller. When there is a demand there will be a seller. And since there was a demand for land in Penang then for sure the landowners would sell. It is all about making a profit. So Penang developed. It became known as the Pearl of the Orient. So the capitalists moved in, as capitalists always do anywhere in the world where there is money to be made. And the Malays saw the route to easy & quick cash available to them. So they sold their land for a lot of money & moved on to another place where the land was cheaper. Now they could have their cake & could eat it too. They sold their small piece of land in Penang for a lot of money & bought an even bigger piece of land, say in Kedah, for a small amount of money & still had a lot of money left to go to Mekah, send theirkids to university, and what not.

Today, many of those old folks & landowners of the 1960s & 1970s are dead. They are no longer alive. Their land in Penang had been sold off long before they died. And their children & grandchildren no longer own land in Penang. This is because the old folks had sold it off when they were still young or before they were born. Today, the Malays are angry because the land in Penang is owned mainly by the non-Malays. But this is so not because the non Malays stole the land but because the Malays sold it for a lot of money. It is what any property owner would do when the property they bought for RM100 two world wars ago can now fetch RM500k on the open market. Only a fool would turn down RM500k in profit.

The more the Malays scream about being left behind in Penang the more the Malays would look stupid & would be revealing their weaknesses. Back in the 1970s the government already sighed & lamented that come the year 2000, the Malays would still be left with nothing.

Trick Upto the Sleeve

Trying so hard to put away Anwar so as to get ready for the coming General Election.
Still realising that without Anwar the hot back can still be felt, it is still a threat to BN.
So trying hard to deregister Party Keadilan! Wow!!!

This goes to tell BN is losing in the coming general election. They are trying hard to play their game to win,by whatever mean it may be.

Member leaders of PR must come together for a close door meeting to hit back.

Member leaders must stay in one spirit, with strong will and confidence to win in the election. Play it well.

Whatever the counter measure may be, keep it a confidential matter. Do not leak it to the press. Do not give BN a chance to react.

Get ready for the general election. Put candidates in to win, from whatever member party may be...just to win over and move into Putrajaya.

A Change In Putrajaya Is What Lies Next

Justice, Fairness, and Uprightness is what people expected from the ruling party. However, when it resort to creat disunity, disharmony, and discontentment with many lies and unfounded speculation, it it time for it to go.

Telling the people not to support an immoral politician.....not forgetting about so many of the same kind among their own team. Yet the one they are pointing at is yet to be convicted.

Casting fear among the people that some are going to make this a country of a different religious priority....forgetting that they are holding so much power that a handful of commoner can neaver dream to do it. Such lies do not hold waters! Not possible.

Telling the rakyat that the nations wealth is in the hand of some minority people.....forgetting so many of their own kind are owners of multi-million enterprises.

What Rakyat Malaysia must do in this coming general election------give ourselves a chance with a change over to PR Government for a term or two.Let PR move into Putrajaya and see what happen next.

What is the real Problem?

A Beautiful article, well written for all Malaysians to ponder and act:

What is 1 Malayu and 1 Bumi?

When Khir Toyo gave his undivided support for the 1 Melayu 1 Bumi idea, he asked what was wrong with it. Many things are wrong with it. Firstly, if the idea is that we need a movement to “unify” all Malays and Bumiputera under one political party (which is UMNO, presumably) it will not happen; not now, not ever. Malays are not sheep that will follow the likes of Ibrahim Ali and Khir Toyo without thinking.

There have been Malay leaders in UMNO who have tried since Merdeka to get this kind of narrow racial unity going, but to no avail. Indeed, they came up with their idea of “unity” not because they genuinely cared about the welfare of the Malays; but to sustain their race-based party which is the only political model they know. They are not prepared to change. They are not prepared to meet the changing world with honest courage. They are not brave enough to admit that their model of “unity” does not work. So, when the Malays support or join other parties, these politicians will cry wolf and create fear with race and religion. In the words of Khir Toyo: “For the Malay people themselves, the voting pattern of the Chinese and the policy of the DAP, which seems to be anti-everything that involves the interests of the Bumiputera and the religion of Islam, are clear indicators that there already is a wave that wants to empower the Chinese race in politics after they have taken control of the economy.”
What control? What power?

What leaders like Khir Toyo and Ibrahim Ali fail to understand is that political power is not everything. Even without this recent “unity call”, the Malays are already in complete political control. More than two-thirds of the Cabinet is Malay. Even the Barisan Nasional is just a coalition in name, and the way the Government does things shows that UMNO is not “first amongst equals” but, simply, “first”. And this happens not just in the Federal Government: more than two-thirds of Parliamentarians are Malay or Bumiputera. The Sultans are Malay. All except one of the Menteri Besar and Chief Ministers are Malay-Bumiputera. Eighty-five percent of the Civil Service are Malay, including the diplomatic corps and the educational and judicial services. The Armed Forces and Police are composed primarily of Malays. Rela members are mostly Malay.
And what about the claim that the Chinese are in sole control of the economy? Have Khir Toyo and Ibrahim Ali forgotten about Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) such as Maybank, PETRONAS, Telekom Malaysia, TNB, Khazanah Nasional, PNB, Media Prima, Felda, Sime Darby, and many others, the vast majority of which are owned by the Government and managed by Malay-Bumiputera? The G-20 group of largest listed GLCs alone possess RM353 billion (around half) of the market capitalisation of the entire Bursa Malaysia.

Are we to believe that, despite all this, the Malays and Bumiputera are still not in power? What more control do people like Khir Toyo want?

We Malays do not need to control more than what we already have. Instead, we need to have a competitive spirit coupled with the right work attitudes and values. Individuals, not corporations, need more capital and know-how. We need to harness our entrepreneurial spirit. We need to have the right educational options so that we understand the history of our nation properly—so we understand the meaning of democracy, rights and freedom. Then, and only then, will we learn to be at peace with others in the country and face the changes taking place around us.

None of these things requires us to have more control over anything other than our own abilities. In fact, the kind of “control” that Khir Toyo wants is partly the cause of the dependency syndrome amongst the Malays, which encourages us to feel that we are entitled to special treatment all the time.

To look at it from the another perspective: if people like Khir Toyo and Ibrahim Ali were right, and control is indeed central to the advancement of the Malays, then surely the Malays would have grown very advanced in education technology and finance after all these years of control. So, if Malays remain poor and uncompetitive today—if we still lack capital and business opportunities—then it is the duty of responsible political leaders to identify the real root causes of these deficiencies.

Can Khir Toyo and others like him explain to the Malays what can be achieved in this regard if, say, PAS joined UMNO? What benefits will Malay political unity bring to the education system? What reforms will it bring for a better administration of the country? Will there be less corruption if there is more Malay control than there already is?

No, because the lack of Malay unity and political control is not the root cause of these problems. It is not even remotely related to these problems at all. In fact, if there were more of the control that Khir Toyo and his kind want, there will be more of the dependency syndrome, more insecurity, more feelings of entitlement without having to strive for anything through education and honest work.
These so-called “leaders” must stop crying wolf and start looking at ways to help improve what is clearly a terrible situation. They must help the Malays and Bumiputera identify opportunities and make best use of them according to their abilities, and if these abilities are not enough, then these leaders must help improve them. They must help students get a better education and skills through better teachers and lecturers.

It is straightforward, but it requires hard work and not empty rhetoric. The call for “control” and “unity” does nothing except sweep the need for real work under the carpet.

The real enemies of the Malays are ignorance and lack of knowledge. Those leaders who demand “unity” and “control” should look in the mirror and ask: “Is this really the best I can do for my people?”

Racial Politic Must Be Uprooted

Read into the news, whether or not it is from BN or from any partners in PR, very often you read that the issue is on "representation". It is not an emphasis that certain constituency must be represnted, it is certain racial community must be represented. This is racial politic.

Even when one partner insisted that certain candidates from a racial group must stand in certain constituency and others will challenge and said it should be represented by certain people from another racial community. This is racial politic.

All these 50 over years of racial politic must be uprooted gradually. All elected YBs must represent ALL communities and not just a certain community. All YBs must represent their constituency and not just for a certain racial community. It is MALAYSIAN that we wanted to cultivate into our mindset not "MY RACIAL COMMUNITY".

For a better Malaysia, MALAYSIANS of good talent must be placed in positions of leadership and administration in gevernment agencies. NOT just an equation of racial composition. See ourselves as Malaysians and live and act like a Malaysian.

God help us! People that can win the support of a constituency is the right candidate for the job. Not just a share from the various racial community. It is the job of Malaysian to win and to move Malaysia into a bright future.

PAS Must Make a Public Statement of their Political Agenda

If election is coming, PAS must make a public statement of their present political agenda. PAS must not give the rakyat any bit of doubt it its political agenda. It is NOT WRONG to uphold religious value in politic:value like justice for all rakyat, compassion for the unfortunate and poor, godliness in adPASministration, no corruption and no greed of material world, and care for all senior citizen through an excellent welfare biro etc.

PAS may have to make a public statement reagrding its previous agenda of a Islamic nation, it may have to consider a secular nation with Islamic value in practice, confining Islamic agenda to only the muslims in the country.

The PR victory depends much on PAS getting a fair share of the support from the rakyat. Otherwise PAS lost may become BN's winning tickets. BN may want to cast doubts and persuade the people not to support PAS...so it is up to PAS to fight back with open declaration, clearing doubts that are influenced by BN

Put in effort to win over this time.

Overcoming Lies with Open Declaration

Since BN chose to repeat doubts and lies through a lengthy procedure, it is now upto Anwar to counter these lies and unfounded accusation with OPEN DECLARATION through all MEDIA to neutralise the effect of mental influences.

Thus leave the verdict with the people. You just cannot be too passive, the counter action must be active and progressive too. The people must listen to both sides and form their own conclusion. Remaining silence and ignoring it is not the way to battle this attack. It must be an open challenge for truth and showing the rakyat that they fear PR in this coming general election.

While Anwar is battling to win the trust and confidence of the rakyat, PR must gear up for the coming General Election, it can be anytime. No time to waste.

Tell the nation what PR hopes to achieve if given the mandate to govern Malaysia! This is what the rakyat wanted to know. This is what BN fear most.......they only play the race card, protecting the right of a community from non existing fear....... making a fool of themselves.

Who is threatened in Malaysia?

If you just be sincere and careful, you only hear BN threntening the rakyat with fear and uncertainty for the future. Has anyone pause to ponder who is being threatened?

BN is threatening the Rakyat that some rights are being taken away from them. Who has the power to take away anybody's right in Malaysia?

Nobody except the one who had rule the nation in the past 50 over years.
How can the kueh teow seller and the mee seller takes away the right of anybody? Nonsense.
It was the authority who has the right to take away the right of the hawkers (selling over 50 years in the spot) and withdraw their hawker's license and vacate the site.
The coffee shop chit chat can never remove the right of anybody, but the authority can withdraw the permit of a newpaper to silence them from reporting what the authority would not like the rakyat to know.

In fact, when rakyat Malaysia had enough of the corrupt practices and high handed action of the authority, they voted against the rule of the day. They wanted a change for the better. Thus someone getting used to such corruption is being threatened. They might lose the opportunity to make millions out of politic. Thus they thought they can poison the mind of the rakyat to hatred and be disunited.

Oh no..... rakyat Malaysia had suffered from high rise cost of living, unfair pricing of many comodities, even buying more expensive Malaysian made vehicles etc. No amount of lies and drama can change our decision. We want a change for the better.

In fact, BN is being threatened. Come the next general elction, BN may end their ruling game. Rakyat Malaysia wanted to return the rights of every citizen to the rakyat. Rakyat Malaysia bersatu dalam Malaysian Malaysia. Rakyat not interested to go on with racial politic. It had hurt the nations ecenomic growth. It had drain off many talented citizens. What pride to sit in the Chair in a broken and shattered house. Why not mingle among the people who are productive, creative, and united, together building up Malaysia and a home for all.

Rakyat is awakened..... poor rakyat cannot live with such high cost, while rich elite have golden gate, golden toilets, private jet etc. Rakyat wanted to return the national revenue to the Rakyat, so that we can have cheap cost of living, enjoing comfortable and easily available public facilities.

PR hopes to play the role of a good public servant, serving the Rakyat in place of BN. Those black sheep in PR will not stand a chance when their greed and poor performances are throw right into their own faces.

No one's right is being threatened. Only those who are corrupt and making millions in politic are being threatened. Their days are numbered.

Next Move to Sustain Public Confidence

With so many accusation on Anwar, it is time for the leader of PR and PKR, to do something to sustain public confidence for Pakatan Rakyat.

I believe the best is for Anwar to nominate a successor for PKR and stay off from the coming race in General Election.(I think this is what BN wanted.) Instead, show to the nation when a leader is having a court case on and on, the leader must stay off active politic until the case is over. This goes for all politicians in Malaysia.

Let Anwar be advisor and assist PR and PKR to win public support for its uprightness .

Lies repeated many times will cause doubts in the mind of a common man.Even it can riase up suspicion among your own rank and file. It is a fact. However, when the victim is cleared of its suspicion he will be able to stand tall in public and those who tried to destroy him will be shamed and become untrust worthy.

Let truth stands up.Let time proves it. But for the sake of giving PKR and PR a clean and upright reputation, Anwar may have to do something before the General Election. It is like a self imposed restriction for political involvement. All for the good of PKR and PR.

The Rakyat is with you .....for a better Malaysia.

Who is to Blame? Siapa punya salah?

You can hear many people complaining about corruption, about bias practices, about exploitation etc. Anything lah! Who is to blame? Who allow corruption to continue?

VOTE them away in this coming election.

You vaote them in, you are responsible for the rotting away of Malaysian economy.

You vote them in ,you are responsible for the many exploitations that are being practiced.

Who can change the situation----- your vote.

Look at how the Sarawak voters put back a state government that exploits them in many ways. Who is to be blame. Is the people fearful of the threats from the authority?

If they have voted them off, today they are nobody!!!!

Come the next General Election, hope that Rakyat Malaysia learn a good lesson and know the power of their votes.

Learning From Sarawak State Election

PR has won the people over. Though PR did not receive the majority support to form the State Government, PR has won an outstanding number of votes and supporters from the Rakyat in Sarawak. What lessons can we learn from the recent Sarawak State Election? 1. Be more prepared for election. Right now it is time to prepare for the coming General Election. 1a. Good publicity of PR's Vision for Malaysia if PR is given the chance to rule Malaysia. 1b. Good publicity of PR achievement in all the PR states. 1c. Close door Top-Gun meetings. Meet regularly to formulate an understanding of a PR Vision of governance......How PR component parties can work in harmony and unity of effort and oneness in vision for a Better Malaysia. This PR must form a strong Publicity Biro. Creating video clips messages, video clip of activities, video clip in youtube broadcast. PR must make an extra effort to enter into the interior and rural population with all these video aids. 2.Get ready your candidates for the coming election. Candidate of good character, and record of performances in place of work, in the community etc. Candidates of intellectual capacity. Not just anybody!! Candidates of all age groups---fresh blood should be considered. Senior ones can always act as advisors to these new candidates. 2a.Candidates must be made to share about their dream of a better Malaysia....giving some talks about how they are going to perform when they are put in places in the administrattion. 3.PAS may have to reformulate their POLITICAL AGENDA. Approach more from the values of agama to creat a just and upright government for ALL rakyat of different religious background, with a priority to promote religious awareness among the Muslim population. Rule as a government for ALL with lots of emphasis for religious value and principle. 4.DAP must show obvious concern for non-Chinese matters in the nation. Do not potray DAP as a Chinese party---it is not. It is a multi racial party Speak out for all people. 5.PKR must not waste time on BN drama....work into running a nation, with or without Anwar, PKR can still go on with its vision for a Malaysian Malaysia. Give assurance to the Malay population that PKR is selling the right of Malays to the non-Malays...PKR is bringing the nation into ONE UNITY----Malaysian Malaysia. 6.ALL parties must be of one voice, one vision and one accord. Cheer up....support is on PR side.

Is UMNO the King Maker?

If you read into Daim's speech, it makes you feel as if Malaysia exist because of UMNO not of the Rakyat. He said:" Anwar only rose through the ranks in Umno in the 1980s and 90s because then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had given him his full backing. "

In other words, if UMNO makes you PM you are the PM, if UMNO says no,you are just a nobody. It may be true when UMNO rules (BN is UMNO where are the other component parties???).But if Rakyat decides, it will be a different matter altogether.

He also said:"There was no ‘reformasi’ in any ministry he led,”
How to have refomasi under UMNO? When you speak and think away from the UMNO spirit, you are sacked!!!!Even if a leader of a component party said something different different from UMNO, he is warned of BN Principle? What principle?Hahaha Daim may be able to convince the UMNO members, but no more the educated Rakyat, the thinking Rakyat.

With or without ANWAR, PR is sure to get support from the Rakyat. PR is not Anwar, PR belongs to the Rakyat.Only the people see the leadership and the charisma in ANWAR,who is now a threat to UMNO in the coming general election. Rakayat Malaysia bersatu negara akan maju.Rakayat Malaysia is against corrurption in high places, and policy, Rakyat Malaysia mahu tubuhkan satu kerajaan yang bersih, cekap, adil dan juga satu kerajaan yang mengutamakan kebangunan Negara bukan kekayaan ahli politik.

There will be amny more ANWAR in the nation to rise up even if Anwar Ibrahim is put away.UMNO may be a King Maker in BN but definitely not if the Rakyat decide to put UMNO away.

Sarawak Leads the Way for a Change

Now that Sarawak is ready for state election, let us hope Sarawak is also ready for a change.

Rid of corruption.....and get back the state revenue from individual pockets to the state treasury.

Develop the state and not fattening individuals.

Lead the way for a change....take it from BN and returning the power to the Rakyat. Allow Sarawak to enjoy the revenue and growth of state development. Better roads, better facilities, better housing, better business atmosphere, more attractive for foreign investors to come to Sarawak.

Dont stop West Malaysians to come and help develop Sarawak.ONE Malaysia why afraid of west Malaysians to come and tell Sarawak what it is really happening in Peninsular Malaysia???

Time for change...Sarawak leads the way.

Rakyat Is Listening In

Whatever may be in the mass media, Rakyat Malaysia is not blind and deaf. Rakyat Malaysia is judging the press statements by the BN personalities with wisdom and intellect.

Will the intellectual community of Malaysia share your opinion with the man in the street, your neighbours, your loved ones, and your collegue. PKR is fighting the batlle with lots of disadvantages. But PKR has the Rakyat backing up.

Rakyat still remembers the many corruption cases , the muder cases, the misaaproriation of public fund etc....though the press is silenced, the Rakyat still remember.

Even the effort to smear the name and reputation of opposition leaders, while a known case of sex , that man stand tall as a leader of a BN personality. No shame! BN tried so hard to put Anwar away...but the Rakyat tried so hard to keep Anwar alive in the political arena.

It is not PKR against BN, It is Rakyat Malaysia, against BN. The poor, the massive population against the known corruption of the day.

Get rid of it and Malaysians would have better chance of a better Malaysia. Make it happen.Make a change for the Kemenangan Rakyat Malaysia!

The battle is on! PKR leaders must speak out!!! To the press ,talk senses into the public!

PKR must not be too busy with BN's controversies! Get the candidates ready for coming general election. Set objectives, and the hows..... of achieving the visions of a PKR government. No more public arguments....no more in fightings, just sit down for serious business. Drop all ethnic controversies, drop all personal heroism, drop all regious dreams...JUST MAKE MALAYSIA A PLACE FOR ALL MALAYSIANS, PRACTICING THEIR FAITH, AND MOTIVATED TO DO GLOBAL BUSINESS, MAKING MALAYSIA A VIBRANT NATION FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH, AND SUPPRESS INFLATION, CUTTING DOWN COST OF LIVING.

Make the poor enjoy the wealth of Malaysia, subsidised electricity, water supply, public transport, lower petrol bills, sharing out corporate revenue with the Rakyat....making the nation rich, not individuals....

Come when it may, the general election...Rakyat get ready for a big surprise for BN
