Why Use Force On A Peaceful Gathering?

Let me reprint a report from my email:

In an apparent attempt to get rid of evidence, the'Thugs in Uniform', The Royal Malaysian Police has harassed, assaulted and confisticated or damaged cameras belonging to local and international journalists covering the fracas during the Bersih 3.0 event in Kuala Lumpur. According to Al Jazeera, their journalists were roughed up by the police and their camera was damaged by the police. Al Jazeerareported that scores of unarmed Bersih 3.0 participants were brutally assaulted by the police even though they were unarmed and showed no signs of aggression. In a live crossover interview, Al Jazeera journalist Harry Fawcett reported that he and his cameraman were faced with alleged police violence as well. "I'm coming to you via Skype from an iPad because the Malaysian police has just busted our camera," said Fawcett."In a number of instances, we saw a policeman grabbing a protester while the other would punch, knee or slap the protester. "We went to try to film that ourselves, and found ourselves subject to not that harsh treatment but not dissimilar. "We were shoved and held, our camera pushed to the ground. Perhaps they were under instruction to prevent the media from filming this kind of thing," he added.

One photographer told Malaysiakini that after he refused to delete photographs of a melee, a police personnel removed his memory card and destroyed it. It was confirmed by Guang Ming Daily that one of their photographers was arrested while taking photographs of the process of an arrest and alleged police assault. A Channel News Asia video cameraman has vowed to lodge a police report after he was punched. "Furthermore, they took our tripod," said the cameraman Kenny Lew. Meanwhile, a Merdeka Review photographer said claimed she was assaulted by four police personnel who attempted to seize her camera and mobile phone. "They pulled my media accreditation card and kicked it to a side. They then demanded that I leave or face arrest," she said.

The Scribe has received reports that elements of BN/Umno linked TIGA LINE thugs may be the agent provocateurs that breached the police barricade and charged at the police at Merdeka Square. They were also the ones who 'staged' the overturning of the police car. Bersih says it is shocked by allegations that some of its supporters had acted violently during the Bersih 3.0 rally today. Bersih co-chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan described allegations of violence committed by the movement’s supporters as “highly unusual”. This explains why the police stood and watched when the thugs overturned the police car and no arrests were made. Batu MP Tian Chua and former International Islamic University (UIA) law professor Dr Abdul Aziz Bari have been arrested. "Now I'm arrested, police hit us as we were dragged thru rows of rowdy officers - many got beaten up after being arrested," reads Chua's tweet.

Bersih 428

This was BERSIH 428 in KL. It is a picture of "Rakyat Bersatu, Negara Maju". It is a reminder of "Pilihan Raya, Pilihan Kerajaan Rakyat Malaysia".

It was reported that Malaysians came forward to exspress their cry for a fair and just election. It was not confined to the various states in Malaysia, it consisted of gathering of Malaysians over 80 cities throughout 35 nations in the globe.

If Malaysians are serious of saving Malaysia from corruption, from the lost of national revenue, from disunity, and from sliding into national bankruptcy, Malaysian should throw in their votes for a change of government. It is time to rid of 50+ years of UMNO rule and return the nation to Rakyat Malaysia.

Malaysia Boleh! You can make it happen.

Visit The Desa & Kampong Folks

What is the BN strategy at this point of time?
$$$$ and promises ! But most important,BN knew they are losing the folks in the cities. They are losing the educated lots. So they are working into the country township (DESA) and the villages (Kampong).

Nobody can imagine No.1 VIP stooping low to visit and befriends folks in desa and kampong. These folks dont read the facebook, or the internet. They are simple folks slogging daily for their living. Now that the No.1 VIP is visiting them with $$$ and promises. Wooow....great.

The No1VIP has also gone to mingled with the Chinese folks down to hawkers stalls, market places, and even to their kampong etc. BN knew they need the Chinese votes and the Kampong folks support to win any seat this time.

PKR is not slow to this. In fact, the rank and file of PKR come from the Desa and Kampong, poor candidates, who have no $$$$ to throw about. However, their hard work and their sincerity is felt by all.

Nevertheless, PKR must make serious effort to tell them folks the real situation of Malaysia. PKR must remind the rakyat we are working hard to save Malaysia, and to prepare a better Malaysia for our next gereation. We had suffered enough under the 50 over years of BN government. Look at the $$$$$ billions lost through corruption and mismanagement. We must check and prevent $$$ drain to save Malaysia. To lighten uo the livelihood of every single rakyat.

PKR must make use of video clips for the citi folks, and personal visitation to the country towns and kampongs. Time is running out.

Sabah and Sarawak candidates must visit the community centres, the coffee shops, the pasar pagi etc and expalin the situation to the Sabah people and Sarawak people. Save Malaysia while they can still hold the calling card. Dont be blinded by temporarily benefits. More to come to all if the Rakyat change the government to Rakyat Power and not BN Power. Need not have to look at the face of the VIP, make them look at the Vote in your hand.

Misguided Mentality

BN thought the people of Malaysia are fools to be manipulated.
BN thought just promises and a few tip-bits (cash throw-out) will satisfied the hungry rakyat. In this way, rakyat Malaysia will throw in their support for BN just for RM500/= or RM100/= or even more. Just because so many came forward to claim the money, listening to their talks does not mean these "foolish rakyat" are behind BN.

Rakyat Malaysia had enough of BN tricks and lies.
Looking into the various mega expenses and mega compensation, a simple rakyat will be able to tell that such contracts are crazy! You spend on a project and you collect back your share for a period worked out. Now that you have collected some, it should be reduced in amount, and NOT increase in amount. A simple rakyat is able to reason out that logic. But to give away CASH, mega sum to such, as compensation of what not.....is crazy. Can somebody just tell us who owns those companies???

Let Pakatan take over Putrajaya, and Pakatan will tell you the whole truth when facts are gathered. The people need an answer. Malaysia is going broke not because of subsidies, but because of corruption.

Malaysia is going broke not because of freee education, or free medication etc. but for mismanagement of public fund, be it the cowboy project, or the highway project, or the submarine project, or the recon-air crafts projects etc..... Ooooo Rakyat Malaysia, save the country with your vote in this coming election. It has nothing with who has rob whose right, nobody! Or who has control the economy of Malaysia, BN and cronies. It is Rakyat Malaysia against corruption in high places, and policies not favouring rakyat but the rich BN cronies etc.

Come what may.....this is Rakyat Malaysia throwing in their anger and protest of poor governance ..... crying for a change for the better.
