Will A Fair Minded Government Jail Him? Why him?

Subject: Dr Jeyakumar who is being detained
Dr Jeyakumar, MP for Sungei Siput.....A Socialist in the true sense, a full time
social worker from young, a rare species of man with great heart & kindness!! He is an Old Frees ( Penang Free School ) from Penang

Is he a Communist terrorist???
The heart of a gentle person - Dr Jeyakumar

I am writing this urgent letter to all Malaysians to be aware of the suffering that all the 6 PSM members are going thru . Isolated from loved ones and family they will have to beg to go to Toilet , or shave or bathe and hence the mental torture starts .I am writing on behalf of Dr Jeyakumar as I am a part of his family .I hope and trust that the family members of the others will start writing too to urge people not to stand for the utterly stupid charges against the 6 .If in fact there was a T shirt or poster of " former " CPM leader Chin Peng , how is it wrong . ???

The National Libraries and most libraries in Universities have many books on communism for reference and reading . There are even books with his pictures as well as other involved in the struggle at that time. Is Hishamuddin going to remove all reference books in all the libraries ?? Is he going to have all the Librarians arrested or having reference material on communism ??

Hishamuddin calls the Bersih Rally illegal and as such justifies the wearing of bersih T shirts illegal also and had the 30 peole arrested . If so , the Perkasa rally and UMNO Youth rally was also illegal , can we assume as such that wearing Perkasa shirts and UMNO Youth Illegal . Hishamuddin is the most shameless politician for using such a stupid comparison . He takes us ordinary Malaysians as stupid but we have to show his in a clear, non violent and reasonable way that we will not accept this action .

Dr Jeyakumar

I know Dr Jeyakumar personally . His father is also a doctor. Let me first tell you some childhood stories that will capture your imagination of this simple yet strong willed but gentle person .

1 st personal story

In his teens One day he went to to town to buy some items . He simply wore slippers and told his mum that he will be back later .A few hours later he called and asked his mum to please come and fetch him back . His mum was busy and asked him to take the bus but he pleaded with her to just come this time . She relented and went to pick him up and found him without slippers !!! standing on the inside of the pavement in a shop away from the heat of the midday sun .

Looking relieved he quickly jumped into the car . People had been staring at him whenever they passed by and wondering what was wrong with this boy . In the car he explained that he saw an old man shuffling about without slippers and could not stand it anymore and just gave him his own slippers to walk .

Only after doing that he realised that the pavement was very hot and couldn't walk to the bus stop and also was receiving strange stares from passerby and decided to call his mother.

Such is the heart of this gentle man who has been arrested by Hishamuddin and the police saying he is a communist and was carrying Bersih T shirts
2 nd personal story

When he was in University Malaya he constantly involved himself in the plight of the estate workers . I know personally of how he started tuition classes in many estates from sg Siput to BUTTERWORTH for poor students during his semester breaks. His legacy still continues till today with Indian students still sacrificing their important time during their breaks to tutor underprivileged students in estates till today .

When he became a doctor , he requested his posting to be in Sarawak interior where many places had no electricity and reachable by boat to treat orang asli and start education programmes for kindergarten aged children . He stayed for many ,many years in Sarawak doing selfless work among the poor and destitute .

Such is the heart of this gentle man who has been arrested by Hishamuddin and the police saying he is a communist and was carrying Bersih T shirts

3 rd personal story

Once when I was in Ipoh few years ago ,way before he became Member of Parliament (and like David beating Goliath - won the Parliamentary seat from Samy Velu) saw me and asked me if I was free . I replied that I was and and in the night approx 9 after he had finished his hospital rounds picked me up and we drove many miles and reached a large squatter area . The old blue rickety Volkswagon tumbled and tossed in the uneven mud road and there were no streetlights at all and we ere driving in the dark .

After a long time we reached a broken down hut and inside was an old Indian lady on a makeshift bed . Dr Kumar listened for a long time to her crying and after sometime he gently talked to her and gave her some painkiller injections and she soon slept off . On the way back he told me that she was in the end stage of her cancer and was dying and in so much pain . He made this trip twice or 3 times a week as she could not come to a hospital for pain medication . I sat quietly reflection how much just one person can do and how we who are so blessed do so little .

Dr Kumar is my cousin and I am proud to know him . !!! My relationship throughout the years have enriched me tremendously. I hope that reading this that you will not believe the lies that the mainstream newspapers is trying to tell you .

All of the 6 deserve our support and love - more so at this time , This is my simple testimony . I am sure that many , many more people will be able to share more experiences that they have had with Dr Kumar .

His gentle heart , his ready ear for listening even to the smallest complaints . I am enraged that they have locked him up without his seeing his wife and son and parents and friends. It is said that h is in solitary confinement . His 19 year old son who was also on the bus was arrested with him and kept in the lock up .

Please read and pass to friends if you can . Remember - All it takes for Evil to Triumph is for good people to do nothing !!

Proud to be his friend,

Christopher

What Racist Policy? Is it true of BN?

I read another email and I hope it is not true. Otherwise, there will be no future for Malaysia with such racist party who just wanted to remain in power even to the extend of destroying the nation. Read for your self:-

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 — I am one of the privileged few to have attended a local public university and learned the meaning of hate, thanks to the ever popular Biro Tata Negara.

All undergraduates were forced to attend this programme or else they would not be eligible for graduation.

The BTN under the Prime Minister’s Department brought in “intellectual” speakers who were supposed to enlighten the students about the meaning of being a Malaysian but instead it felt more like a communist propaganda camp brainwashing those attending about the importance of “Ketuanan Melayu”.

The camp would usually take place during the weekends. Students would have to register early in the morning and the programme would last the whole day.

The organisers were always on their guard, asking participants to show their student identification cards each time they entered the hall, fearing the presence of outsiders.

In the hall, students were asked to turn off their mobile phones. During the lectures, questions were planted among the audience and the students were advised not ask raise any questions.

One speaker began with the history of Malaysia and how much the country had gone through, always emphasising the May 13 riots.

He stressed the point of how much the Malays had sacrificed and how the community should be united especially from outside threat — the Chinese community.

He said that the Chinese community were “the Jews of Asia” and were just itching to take over when Malays were disunited and broken.

The speaker also revealed a greater Chinese conspiracy where the Chinese Malaysians were working together with Singapore to topple the Malay government.

“Do you want to become like the Malays in Singapore?” he asked. He also went so far as to criticise Malay girls for dating boys from other races.

He added that they should not be cheap and embarrass their families.

Once, a student told the speaker that as Muslims, we should also respect other races who are also Muslims.

“All Muslims are Malays so it does not matter if they are Chinese or Indians. If they are Muslims then they are Malays,” the speaker replied.

This is why I was relieved when I learned that the Selangor government had moved to ban its civil servants, employees of state subsidiaries and students at state-owned education institutions from attending any BTN courses with immediate effect.

However I believe racism in varsities does not end at BTN because classrooms have also become victims of ignorant scholars.

My friend was verbally abused during his sociology class when he did not agree with the points made by his lecturer.

“You must be DKK,” the lecturer told him.

“What is DKK?” he asked.

“You must be darah keturunan keling (descendents of Indians),” the lecturer said, pointing to his dark skin.

My Saudi friend was also shocked by the comments made by his lecturer in his Islamic civilisation class.

“We should save our Orang Asli from the Chinese people. They are like the Palestinians and the Chinese are Israel. We must fight the Jews,” the lecturer told his students.

The lecturer even failed one of his students in his oral exam when he quoted a Western scholar in his presentation.

“You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are a Muslim and should only use Islamic scholars,” he scolded the student.

I was personally saddened when my Islamic law lecturer compared Christianity to Head & Shoulder’s 3 in 1 shampoo in referring to the religion’s Holy Trinity.

I feel that racism has been institutionalised in our country and that BTN is only the tip of the iceberg.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin defended BTN yesterday and claimed that it was not racist but is line with the 1 Malaysia concept.
I have to humbly disagree and would like to suggest maybe the ministers should bring their overseas children home and let them have a taste of what BTN is.

** Every general election is an opportunity to change the government. Every general election is the chance to remove some arrogant politician. It is also a time to imrpove the system of the nation. However, if rakyat Malaysia is dumb dumb as to put such people back into authority, Malaysia is destined to decline in the world arena. In no gtime Malaysia will be falling behind Vietnam, and Malaysia will be exporting manpower, maids etc to other nations, and Malaysia will be a poor nation.***

High Handed Treatment ---How True is it?

Received suc an email content, it shocked me. Can Malaysia with a government elected by the Rakyat acted so hard on the rakyat that put them into place? How about removing them in the coming General Election with our votes?

Read and see, just wonder how true it is.

UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF THE 30 ACTIVISTS REMANDED IN PENANGYesterday 30 June 2011, finally after 4 days of pressure, the police finally allowed visitation rights for the family.During this visitation the detainees informed that they were harrased and mentally tortured. Currently the detainees are being questioned intensively by officers from the Police Headquarters in KL ( Bukit Aman)

Among the shocking revelation of the tortures unleashed by the Bukit Aman team is :
Solitary confinement
All the seven detainees in IPK are placed in solitary confinement and we learned that some others at Butterworth and Kepala Batas has since yesterday been placed under solitary confinement.
These practice is illegal and is most commonly used during the first 60 days of ISA torture
These detainees are also interrogated long hours between 9 till 5pm daily
Deny Legal Representatives
In spite being a Constitutional Right – the Right to legal representation - All detainees has been denied their lawyer from meeting them except for the two juveniles in custody.
Denied Medication
Some of those detained have complained that they have been denied medication in spite of their health condition.
Some detainees who need special food due to their health conditions are denied these foods and are given normal foods like other detainees.
Inhumane, Demoralisation and Foul language
Most detainees have complained that the Bukit Aman Team has also employed degrading foul language and are called things like “pariah” and other degrading language.
Some detainees are also forced to stand during the entire interrogation therefore torture and punishments seems to be the order of the day rather than investigation.
Denied Basic Items
Most detainees were denied basic items such as soap and toothpaste and some were only given yesterday, despite the fact that these items were provided by families to the police on Monday to be passed to the detainees.
Denied sufficient drinking water
Most detainees complain that water was only given during meals and not at other times
Some Hindu detainees were also given beef to eat.

Hope it is not true. One of these days, the victims will make onown to the public.
